Our
secluded camp lies at the base of Lone Indian Peak in Heavenly
Meadows on the North Fork of Buffalo Horn Creek, a tributary of the
Gallatin River. Situated in the heart of prime elk habitat,
this productive area is bordered on the south by Yellowstone National
Park and on the north by the Porcupine elk winter range. Few
elk camps hunt an area with as large a population of native
elk combined with large numbers of Park elk during seasonal migrations.
The area is roadless with high mountain basins interspersed with timber
at elevations of 7,000 to 9,000 feet.
Our
camp is comprised of five large wall tents equipped with wood stoves
and/or propane heat. Indoor shower, toilet, cots, sleeping
pads and pillows are provided for your comfort and convenience.
The most popular tent is the cook tent where the next day's weather
and hunting plans are discussed. Not to mention delicious
original recipe meals served by our camp cook. Bring your best stories
because we've experienced some wild ones we'll be telling you.
